TCM Lifts New Brunswick

There are actually 2 kinds of forklifts, based whether or not they run on electricity or gas:

Internal Combustion or IC Forklifts: The IC forklift will run on fuels like liquid propane, gas, diesel or compressed natural gas or CNG. Gas powered models are best suited for outdoor use because they emit pollutants and gases that are harmful to workers and pedestrians. Gas models are also great to be utilized in the rain and in bad climate. These models can lift weights around 15,000 to 35,000 pounds. Due to the fuel expenses and maintenance, the gas powered units are a lot more expensive to utilize compared to the electric models, however, they cost less up front than electric powered models. The liquid propane models are the right choice for safe use indoors.

Electric Lift Trucks: Electric forklifts take batteries which require frequent charging. Since these units do not burn any fuel, there are no emissions polluting the air with these vehicles. They are the best alternative for warehouses and indoor applications. Additionally, lift trucks which run on electricity are a lot quieter to run than other models and they do not need any fuel storage units. Among the disadvantages of the electric units is that they are unable to lift loads over 15,000 pounds and thus, have a slower acceleration than gasoline powered models.

Forklifts are specifically designed to easily and quickly transport heavy cargo with simplicity. As the case with nearly all kinds of equipments, unfortunately, forklift mishaps do happen on a regular basis. There are specific safety rules that should be followed so as to keep everybody safe. The most important problem is recruiting a qualified operator, who could show you a valid lift truck license.

On the market today, there are many different kinds of forklifts available. Choosing which one is right for your particular requirements would be based on the kind of environment your machine will have to operate in, for example, indoors or outdoors or both and what kinds of loads which you need to transport. When you know your particular requirements, it will be very easy to match up to the best kind of forklift. When you understand your requirements exactly you can make the best decision.

Another great way to get first hand experience on the various forklift units is the try renting your forklift. This would also enable you to see all the possible options available to you. This is a cheaper way to determine if the machine you have in mind can keep up with you on the job site.
