Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual using it to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard forklifts can not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are better in situations needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is designed to raise employees is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
