The Combilift company was started by two great engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had more than four decades of engineering experience when they founded the business in 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In only over a decade, Combilift became a leader in the global long-load handling market, providing machines to more than 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into many markets all around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, Moffett and McVicar have made machinery which are in high demand and had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of some of the Combilift models.
There are a range of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machinery offer up to nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Available engines are in diesel, battery or electric and LPG or gas and the C-Series Combilifts could work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers can carry fully loaded containers which can weigh up to 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can raise fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These machinery are a cost-effective, efficient solution for lots of shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those types with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series is a lot different compared to other side-loaders because of its ability to drive in four directions. This multi-directional steering is available with the cab on the right or on the left. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive lift truck could benefit companies in many ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable kind of truck is usually found to be a superior option as opposed to many standard sit-down sideloaders because of the various additional features and capabilities.
