The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around providing grabs that handle the largest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is about 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent vs. grab dead weight of 40 percent. This means transporting more quantities of supplies faster. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related parts is less. By combining manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the weight ration that is required is attained.
