Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models as well as "Rider" versions.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk along the machinery as they lift and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of loads over extended distances in manufacturing applications and warehouses. They are highly maneuverable and fast.
It is essential to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and thus, it is not recommended to move tall or unstable loads with these equipment. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for a cheap method for moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you should move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right alternative.
Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece machine made specifically for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the load and the operator in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could operate in smaller aisles. They are extremely handy pieces of machine in physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
