Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift New Brunswick

Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift New Brunswick

There are 7 various classifications of lift trucks as determined by the ITA or Industrial Truck Association. These classes are divided into the type of work setting; indoors, outdoors, smooth or rough surfaces and narrow aisle; by the kind of engine; whether the operator is standing or sitting down; and lastly the characteristics of the machinery, regarding the maximum grade and kind of tire. Several of the categories are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Here are the following classifications of lift trucks:

Class 1 Forklifts: are considered to be electric motor trucks with pneumatic or air filled tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 lift trucks also include 4 lift codes, or subcategories that are:

Lift Code 1: Stand-up, counterbalanced rider unit.
Lift Code 4: 3-Wheel electric sit-down models.
Lift Code 5: Cushion Tire sit down, counterbalanced rider
Lift Code 6: This grouping included pneumatic tire models, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider units.

Class 2 Forklifts: Class 2 lift trucks consist of narrow aisle electric trucks with solid tires.
Category 3 Forklifts: The class 3 forklift will include all hand/rider trucks electric and fuel based with solid tires.
Category 4 Forklifts: Class 4 forklifts are the IC or internal combustion models. These are sit down rider models with cushion tires. Usually, they are great for applications on hard surfaces and indoor application.
Class 5 Forklifts: Internal Combustion sit down rider forklifts outfitted with pneumatic tires make up Class 5 forklifts. Normally, these units are ideal for working on rough surfaces outdoors or on areas with significant inclines.
Category 6 Forklifts: Class 6 forklifts will consist of internal combustion powered or electric units. These ride-on units could tow at least 1000 lbs. This particular category is designed and engineered to tow cargo as opposed to lift it.
Class 7 Forklifts: Class 7 just included rough terrain units with pneumatic tires. The Class 7 forklifts are powered by diesel engines and are almost exclusively used outside.

The different classes of lift trucks help to keep them organized and separated. Different types of working environments rely on different classifications in order to get their work done. Forklifts are rather specific in their loading and lifting capacities. Their various engine types and tire types are made for specific operation. To be able to pick the right forklift to suit your requirements and to fulfill your tasks, do some research to know precisely what you will need from your specific unit. By talking to some reputable dealers and taking time to explore your options, you can choose the appropriate equipment.
