Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by a variety of sources. They can run from gasoline, LP gas or liquid propane, battery or diesel. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for various uses. There are some facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled anytime they require. In other places, the facility would have spare LP cylinders that could be changed out when the equipment must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful so as to prevent possible serious injuries. Like for instance: be sure to wear the appropriate safety equipment like goggles or safety glasses and heavy gloves. Make certain that you turned off the ignition of the forklift prior to changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed firmly. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Remember that it will turn in the opposite direction of a normal connection and never utilize any kind of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
